ST ANNES CARNIVAL 2025
This was a late decision to go and have a look at the St Annes Carnival parade. The reason… To Hot. I don’t like being hot, period. Had a walk around before the parade started, got a few shots in the bag. Then started to look for a vantage point for the parade, remit being, in the shade and have a reasonable view of proceedings. Luckily I found such place, even had a cold stone wall to lean against. Spent a couple of hours out. It was enough for me. Temperature was raising above 30°C by now, that’s way out of my comfort zone. Back home, straight into a cool shower… nice. Thanks for looking.
Oh, forgot to say, aren’t we humans funny, regarding Closed Road signs. We don’t believe the advice when it clearly states such on a sign. I took a few images that relate to this issue. The locals know what happens on this day every year and how to get around using alternative routes. The day trippers visiting the town don’t. I did encounter a few frustrated drivers on my walkabout, understandably so. They were given no alternative routes as far as I could see, Just ROAD CLOSED. A bit more planning wouldn’t go a miss.
